Welcome to Egypt! Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be met and assisted in the entry procedures, and guided for the subsequent boarding of the connecting flight to Luxor. Once you land (about 1 hour flight), you will be greeted again by our staff and you can collect your luggage. Upon exit, a reserved vehicle will take you to the hotel, where check-in, dinner and overnight stay will follow.
Overnight in Luxor.
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, our Egyptologist will take you on a fascinating excursion to discover the monumental temples of Karnak – one of the most impressive religious complexes, comparable to Angkor Wat in grandeur and history. You will cross wide facades, imposing obelisks and ancient avenues lined with sphinxes, among which those with the head of Aries stand out, a sacred symbol of the god Amun-Ra, supreme deity of Thebes.
The guide will illustrate the "forest of columns" up to the sacred lake and the giant beetle, around which tradition provides for seven laps to recall good luck, in perfect reference to pharaonic antiquity. Next, we'll move to the striking Luxor Temple, located along the banks of the Nile, where the monumental façade, the imposing obelisk, and the colossi of Ramses II narrate centuries of history. Walking along the Avenue of Sphinxes, once the link between Luxor and Karnak, you will discover the coronation hall of Tutankhamun and the traces left by Alexander the Great and the Roman emperors. At the end of the visit, we'll proceed to check-in on board the motorboat, which will begin sailing on the Nile. After a lunch on board, the afternoon will be free for rest or to participate in optional excursions.
The day will end with dinner and overnight on board.
After breakfast on board, the adventure begins along Luxor's west bank, an authentic open-air museum. The first stop will be the majestic Colossi of Memnon, the imposing statues of Amenhotep III who, like silent guardians, guard the access to the Valley of the Kings. This area, recognized by UNESCO for its priceless archaeological heritage, is home to 64 rock-cut tombs, including the legendary burial of Tutankhamun, found intact in 1922 by Howard Carter. You will have the opportunity to visit this tomb, immersing yourself in the magnificence of the Egyptian afterlife. The tour continues with a visit to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as the "Temple of Millions of Years", a masterpiece set in the rock that celebrates the only female pharaoh to have ruled Egypt for over twenty years. At the end of the excursion, you will return to the ship for lunch on board and, in the afternoon, you will sail to Esna through the lock and continue along the Nile to Edfu.
The day will end with dinner and overnight on board.
After breakfast on board, your day begins at the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of the finest examples of Egyptian religious architecture. Built starting from Ptolemy III and completed under Ptolemy XII (father of Cleopatra VII), the temple narrates centuries of devotion thanks to its imposing columns and numerous chapels, where ancient rituals, offerings and craft workshops are intertwined. At the end of the visit, you will return to the motorboat to resume navigation; Lunch will be served on board as the ship glides gently down the Nile.In the afternoon, we will arrive at Kom Ombo, where we will visit the impressive double temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and Horus the Elder. Here we will admire the engravings depicting ancient calendars, Egyptian surgical instruments and the Nilometer, essential for measuring the floods of the Nile, along with depictions of Caesars Pharaohs such as Tiberius, Antoninus Pius and Trajan engaged in sacred rituals. After the visit, return on board and continue sailing to Aswan.
The day will end with dinner on board and overnight stay.
For those who want to live a truly extraordinary experience, the day begins at dawn with a packed breakfast and departure to the majestic Temples of Abu Simbel.
These temples, carved into the rock to celebrate the glory of Ramses II and the love for Queen Nefertari, represent a monumental masterpiece, miraculously saved from the waters of the Nile thanks to an impressive engineering operation carried out by UNESCO. At the end of the visit, we'll return to Aswan, where lunch awaits us on board. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to choose between two options:
Join an optional boat excursion to visit an authentic Nubian village and discover the culture and traditions of this ancient people, among colorful houses and a warm welcome.
Or, if you prefer, you can take advantage of a wide range of free time to enjoy relaxation on board the motorboat, taking advantage of the swimming pool, solarium and the beautiful natural setting that the Nile offers.
The day will end with dinner and overnight on board.
After breakfast on board and check-out, we set off to discover the Island of Philae, where the evocative Temple of Isis, goddess of love and motherhood, stands. To reach the site, you will take a motor boat that will take you through the waters of the Nile, revealing the charm of this magical island, a destination for travelers and scholars since ancient times. The temple, characterized by elegant columns and decorated chapels, was one of the last bastions of ancient worship, before being transformed into a Christian church in the sixth century AD.
It is noteworthy that Philae was the last great temple saved from the waters, thanks to a daring relocation project promoted by UNESCO.
Stop for lunch and then transfer to Aswan International Airport for the domestic flight to Cairo (about 1 hour and 20 minutes). Upon arrival you will be greeted by our staff and you will be able to collect your luggage. Upon exit, a reserved vehicle will take you to the hotel, where check-in, dinner and overnight stay will follow.
Compatibly with the timing of the visits and the entrances made in the morning, it will be possible to continue towards Dahshur, about 15 km from Sakkara, to admire two of the most significant pyramids in Egyptian history: the Rhomboidal Pyramid, unique in its kind for its double angle of inclination and for the original coating still visible, and the Red Pyramid, considered the first true perfect pyramid and predecessor of the Great Pyramid of Cheops.
After an intense day of discoveries, the return to the hotel will take place in the late afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour will continue with an exciting departure by 4x4 jeep to discover the suggestive Fayum desert. The first stop will be at Lake Qarun, where you can admire the stillness of the waters contrasting with the arid landscape. Next, the route will lead you to the scenic Wadi El-Rayan waterfalls, a true natural spectacle that enchants with its beauty. The journey continues to the Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan), a UNESCO site that houses extraordinary fossils of ancient cetaceans, offering a unique glimpse into the natural history of the area.
After a lunch in the desert, you will be guided to the Magic Lake, where you will have the chance to try your hand at sandboarding on the golden dunes, living an adrenaline-pumping experience in a surreal setting. The afternoon will end with the return to Cairo in the evening, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast at the hotel, the tour will continue with an immersion in the vibrant atmosphere of Cairo, a metropolis of over 23 million inhabitants where history and modernity coexist. During the journey, you will make a panoramic stop at the Citadel of Saladin, built during the Crusades and for over 700 years a royal residence, and then head to the Qarafa, the "City of the Dead", a unique cemetery in the world that houses houses, mosques, mausoleums and madrasas dating back to the time of the Mamluk sultans. Next, the tour will pass through the historic center of Cairo, characterized by ancient medieval walls and gates, to end the morning with a visit to the lively souk of Khan el-Khalili, the most renowned market in the ancient city. After a lunch in the center, you will visit the GEM – Great Egyptian Museum, the most modern museum in Egypt, located near the Pyramids of Giza. The entrance is dominated by the obelisk and the colossus of Ramses II, while inside you can admire a collection of over 100,000 artifacts, spanning eras as far back as the Byzantine period, with Tutankhamun's complete treasure as the highlight. The day, rich in history and culture, will end with the return to the hotel in the late afternoon, followed by dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast and check-out, transfer to Cairo International Airport for the flight back to the Country of origin.
An unforgettable journey, between history, culture and timeless landscapes.
