CHILL OUT of PHARAOHS: CAIRO and SHARM

After breakfast at the hotel, begin an unforgettable day dedicated to discovering the wonders of Ancient Egypt, in the company of our expert Egyptologist. In the morning he will take us to the Giza Plateau, where the majestic pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus stand out against the desert sky, testifying to the ingenuity and greatness of the Fourth Dynasty. We'll admire the famous Sphinx, with its enigmatic face, and visit the Valley Temple, an integral part of the funerary complex. After a break for lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the pyramids, we'll move on to Saqqara, where the Step Pyramid of Zoser stands, considered the first stone construction in history. We will have the opportunity to descend into its depths and explore the Serapeum, the evocative hypogeum complex that guarded the sacred bulls of ancient Egitto.La day will end in Dahshur, where we will visit two of the most important pyramids to understand the Egyptian architectural evolution: the Rhomboidal Pyramid, with its unusual shape and well-preserved original covering,  and the Red Pyramid, the first true example of a perfect pyramid.

After breakfast, we'll set off on a day to discover the beating heart of Cairo, a city of a thousand faces and full of contrasts.
We will start with a panoramic stop at the Citadel of Saladin, built in the twelfth century as a defensive fortress against the Crusaders and remained the residence of the Egyptian rulers for a long time. From here you will enjoy spectacular views of the city.
We will continue to Qarafa, the so-called "City of the Dead", a unique place where history blends with daily life, among ancient mausoleums, madrasas and Mamluk mosques that are still inhabited.
We will walk in the heart of historic Cairo, between the ancient medieval gates and alleys that lead to the colorful souk of Khan el-Khalili, where the scent of spices mixes with the voices of merchants and the timeless magic of local crafts. After lunch downtown, we will visit the brand new GEM – Great Egyptian Museum, located next to the Giza Plateau. It houses one of the most extraordinary archaeological collections in the world, including the famous treasure of Tutankhamun. At the end of the day, transfer to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Arrival, meet and greet and private transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
